In the image of Jesus Christ as servant, the Service Life Ministries serve the parish through a variety of organizations. These organizations focus on assisting parishioners in a time of need, serve the poor and vulnerable of our community, welcome new members to the Catholic faith and support programs that benefit the parish and society as a whole.

Mother Teresa
Blood Drive
Held annually, volunteers are needed to assist in coordinating and telephoning prospective donors, etc. The Sunday Bulletin contains the dates and sign-up times. For information call Troy Schmeiderer 991-3526.
Endowment Committee
The St. Richard Endowment Fund Advisory Board is responsible for monitoring the St. Richard Endowment Fund. Meeting at least twice a year, the Advisory Board approves and makes recommendations to the Pastor for distribution of earnings of the Fund. Contact: Mike Gillam 997-4885.
Gift Card Program
Gift cards from local retailers are purchased at a discounted price and then sold at full value. Raises funds for St. Richard School and Parish. Contact: Tony Meluso 567-5563.
Help Line
To help members of the parish in emergency situations, e.g. transportation, cooking, funeral meals, visiting, etc. If you need help in an emergency or wish to donate your time please contact Donna Binek 993-0389 or Sue LaFever 432-4517.
Home and School
Coordinating group between parents and St. Richard School. Undertakes many fund raising activities for the school. Open to the parents of the children in the school. Contact: Eric Vehige 991-2897.
Hospitality Committee
Undertakes specific social activities for the parish. For information or to volunteer call Rosemary Bialecke 432-7707.
Life Teen Program
Open to all members of the parish who are currently in high school (4 yrs). The LIFE TEEN program is an effort in the Catholic Evangelization of young people through witness, outreach, proclamation, invitation, conversion, and the call to discipleship held at Incarnate Word Parish 567-5366.

An annually updated directory of all the schedules, activities and parishioners of Saint Richard Parish. Contact: Nancy Heinbecker 432-6188.
Pro-Life
Open to parishioners interested in furthering and strengthening the work of this organization. Parishioners have participated in the Life Chain usually held in October and this group has sponsored parishioners' attendance at the annual Pro-Life Rally in Washington, D.C. Saint Vincent DePaul Society
This group is made up of members of the parish who are interested in the social concerns of our area and our Archdiocese and are willing to provide emergency help to the poor. For additional information contact: Dale Johnson 997-7289.

Casserole Program
This group is open to all parishioners willing to prepare or serve meals at St. Vincent DePaul Parish (downtown) on the last Saturday of the month. For more information or to join this group call Mary Ann Adams 432-6950 or Mary Lou Johnson 432-2741.
Sandwich Program
Interested parishioners provide sandwiches for the Winter Shelter (downtown) on a biweekly basis from November to March. For more information call Peg Bischof at 569-3855.
Singles
Our neighboring parish sponsors a group, St. Monica's Single Young Adult Group (ages 21-35) featuring fun activities, good friends and free volleyball. The Membership Chairman is Christine 205-2394.
Welcoming Committee
A committee dedicated to helping new parishioners feel at home in our parish. An information packet and calendar is presented to new families when they register. Contacts: Nancy Heinbecker 432-6188.
Widowed and Divorced
Arise Ministry (314-292-2181) is a regional system of support groups for the separated and divorced and also for the widowed. The local chapter is the West County Catholics, which meets at Incarnate Word Church 576-5366 on the second Tuesday of every month.
